Why Should We Change the BCS?
Tulane President, Scott Cowen, explains:
- The BCS is unfair and exclusive as it descriminates against non-BCS conferences.
- The BCS restricts competition to only a small group of Conferences, Bowl Games and television networks.
- The BCS violates anti-trust laws thus making the current system illegal.
- The BCS has created branding, competitive and financial disparities between BCS and non-BCS schools
- The BCS does not provide an equal opportunity for ALL NCAA Division I programs to compete for a national championship.
