Dear Dr. Arthur K. Smith,

I'm writing to you regarding the current college football BCS system that is in place and is not working.  As a stakeholder of this university, I believe it's time for a change and I'm asking for this administration to take a stand against the BCS. We deserve a playoff system that allows the national champion to be decided on the field.  Not only would this be the right thing to do, but the additional revenue generated by these games could go back to the schools to support college athletics at a time when universities are facing financial shortfalls and budget cuts. 
 
I'm proud of Houston as a university and I'm proud to contribute to this school.  However, I also understand that the students, fans and alumni have a say as stakeholders to appeal to the administration and ask for a change.  I'm sure you have heard the complaints over the last few years and I believe it's time that this administration speak on our behalf.  Thank you for your time and I look forward to working toward a solution that gives our team a fair shot to compete for a national championship in the future.
